The story of Tiziana Terenzi
The house's story begins with a family candle-making business founded in the late 1960s on the Adriatic coast, continuing a know-how passed down over several generations. The family's children, Tiziana and Paolo Terenzi, decided to extend this work with wax and scent by creating their own perfume brand in 2012. Tiziana leads the artistic direction, while Paolo is responsible for olfactory creation. The house stands out for extraits de parfum in precious-looking bottles, with names often inspired by mythology and astronomy. Kirke, launched in 2015, takes its name from the enchantress Circe in Homer's Odyssey. This fruity chypre became a great success with niche enthusiasts and made the house known well beyond Italy, turning a family craft business into an internationally recognised name in contemporary niche perfumery.
An olfactory signature
The Tiziana Terenzi signature is rich, fruity and concentrated. Kirke is a good example: an explosive opening of passion fruit, peach, pear and raspberry, a lily of the valley heart that brings floral clarity, then a base of musk, sandalwood, patchouli and vanilla. The result is a juicy, sunny fruity chypre whose extrait concentration ensures remarkable longevity and projection. Colour, abundance and a certain Italian exuberance run through the whole approach.
