Our take
What does 9pm smell like?
9PM comes from Afnan, a Dubai-based house, and its launch date differs from one source to another. No perfumer is credited. The name already tells you when to wear it. The opening pairs red apple and cinnamon with a lavender that stays aromatic, lifted by bergamot. Picture an apple tart just out of the oven. In the heart, orange blossom and lily of the valley lighten things a little without making it a floral. The base is the richest part. Vanilla and tonka bean sit on warm amber, while patchouli keeps the whole thing on the masculine side. It gets compared to Jean Paul Gaultier's Ultra Male for that sweet lavender and vanilla pairing. 9PM is a touch spicier, with more apple up front. Projection is strong for the first few hours.
When to wear it
Autumn and winter nights, at a club or on a date. Two sprays on the neck do the job.
It belongs to the Oriental / Amber family. 9pm is one of 1 creations by Afnan in our encyclopedia.
