Our take
What does Little Woman smell like?
IKKS released Little Woman in 2000 as an eau de toilette for young girls and preteens. Its structure is surprisingly classic. Lavender opens alongside bergamot and cardamom, a start you could find in an adult perfume. Then peach arrives and changes everything. It softens the herbs and adds a round, fruity sweetness that comes close to candy. Lily of the valley and violet add a clean floral freshness. The base stays light. Amber, tonka and jasmine leave a gentle trace on skin, nothing heavy. The lavender faintly recalls the one in Jean Paul Gaultier’s Le Mâle, yet here it melts into the fruit instead of taking charge. For its audience it hits the mark. It smells nice, it bothers nobody and it lasts through a school morning. Adults will probably find it too simple.
When to wear it
A daytime scent for school or weekends in spring and summer. One or two sprays are plenty for a child.
It belongs to the Floral family. Little Woman is one of 4 creations by IKKS in our encyclopedia.
