Our take
What does Very Good Girl smell like?
Carolina Herrera launched Very Good Girl in February 2021, five years after Good Girl. Louise Turner composed the eau de parfum, which comes in the same stiletto bottle lacquered in red. Red currant opens with lychee. It is tart and juicy with a sugary edge. Rose takes over in the heart, round and fairly dense. The base pairs vetiver with vanilla. Vetiver brings an earthy note that keeps it from turning into syrup. Vanilla still dominates. Compared with Good Girl, Very Good Girl drops the tuberose and cocoa. It becomes fruitier and rosier, with a less shadowy base. It suits younger wearers who find the original too heavy. The bottle remains the line’s best selling point. On skin, the lychee fades quickly and the rose settles in for the evening. The red currant drifts back now and then. The vetiver shows up late but does its job.
When to wear it
Wear it on autumn and winter evenings. Two sprays are enough since the vanilla base lasts a long time.
It belongs to the Floral, Fruity family. Very Good Girl is one of 6 creations by Carolina Herrera in our encyclopedia.
