Our take
What does Miracle Blossom smell like?
Lancôme released Miracle Blossom in September 2016 as a 50 ml eau de parfum. It is a flanker of Miracle, the spicy floral from 2000. Here the spices step aside for fruit. Lychee, mandarin and apple open it. The lychee nods to the original, while mandarin and apple make it juicier and younger. It smells of freshly cut fruit, cool and a little watery. The heart rests on a light, sheer rose that never takes over. Sandalwood and musk form the base in a clean, soft register. Miracle relied on ginger and pepper, so Blossom comes across as tamer and more springlike. It loses the spicy twist that defined the line. The result is pleasant but very smooth. Once it dries down you tend to forget you are wearing it at all.
When to wear it
A daytime scent for the office or weekends in spring. Two morning sprays, then a top-up in the early afternoon.
