Our take
What does Dioramour smell like?
Dioramour joined La Collection Privée Christian Dior in 2018, signed by François Demachy, then the house perfumer-creator. The name simply blends Dior and amour. Dior presents it as a sensual floral built on two materials: iris and jasmine. The opening is powdery and almost cosmetic. Picture a freshly opened tin of face powder. The iris then sharpens, showing its rooty, raw-carrot side. Jasmine is the surprise. Dior calls it animalic, and it does bring a warm, slightly indolic skin note that breaks the iris out of its good manners. The base stays woody and quiet. Compared with Prada's Infusion d'Iris, which is soapier and cooler, Dioramour feels more carnal and darker. Sources disagree on the exact pyramid. The iris and jasmine pairing clearly runs the show from the first minute to the last.
When to wear it
A date or celebration scent for spring and autumn. Two sprays on the neck are enough.
It belongs to the Floral, Powdery family. Dioramour is one of 56 creations by Dior in our encyclopedia.
