Our take
What does Viva La Juicy Sucré smell like?
In 2016 Juicy Couture added a gourmand take on Viva La Juicy, its big hit from 2008. Sucré delivers on its name. The opening brings together Brazilian gardenia, mandarin and redcurrant for a welcome bit of tartness. It doesn't last. The heart heads straight for the pastry counter with peach nectar and almond cream. Orange blossom and jasmine stay in the background to remind you this is still a floral. The base is the most generous part. Cocoa bean, whipped cream and vanilla sit on a creamy sandalwood. Picture a peach tart topped with cream and served with hot chocolate. Viva La Juicy played on red berries and caramel. Sucré is milkier and more chocolatey, which means even sweeter. It makes no attempt at subtlety and owns it. That honesty is part of the appeal.
When to wear it
For winter weekends and relaxed evenings. One or two sprays is plenty, any more and the sugar turns cloying.
It belongs to the Gourmand, Fruity family. Viva La Juicy Sucré is one of 1 creations by Juicy Couture in our encyclopedia.
