What does Intense Cafe smell like?
Launched in 2013 by the Paris house Montale, Intense Café brings together two worlds rarely paired: rose and coffee. The opening is floral and nearly sweet, quickly giving way to the heart: a round, dewy rose wrapped in slightly bitter roasted coffee that recalls freshly ground beans. The base is a dense, creamy vanilla backed by white musk and warm amber, softening the coffee’s bitterness. The result suggests a rose latte, or coffee taken in a Middle Eastern pastry shop. As often with Montale, longevity and projection are considerable: it stays on skin and clothes all day.
When to wear it
For autumn and winter, an evening out or a comforting moment; it suits lovers of intense gourmands.
