What does Rochas Man Intense smell like?
Rochas released Man Intense in 2023 as an eau de parfum reading of Rochas Man, the 1999 masculine. The perfumer hasn't been officially named. Lavender opens with a few citrus notes that don't stay long. The cappuccino accord soon takes over. It smells of frothy milky coffee rather than roasted beans. A dry cedar runs through the heart and stops it from turning into dessert. The cappuccino is the real star, and it stays for hours. The base is plain vanilla, backed by amber and a soft musk. Projection is strong for the first two hours. The 1999 original already paired coffee and lavender, but it was drier and more herbal. Here everything leans toward sugar. Some will find it comforting. Others will say it sounds too much like every sweet men's fragrance of the past decade.
When to wear it
For cold evenings, sprayed on a wool sweater. Two sprays at most, since the vanilla spreads quickly.
