Our take
What does Dior Addict Eau Fraîche smell like?
Dior Addict Eau Fraîche has had several lives. The name first appeared in 2004, came back in 2012 with a lotus and pomegranate formula, and was then rewritten by François Demachy in 2014. That last version is the eau de toilette sold today. It opens with Calabrian bergamot and a twist of grapefruit. The heart pairs freesia and lily of the valley, two sheer flowers that smell more of fresh laundry than of a garden. White musks and light woods close it off without adding warmth. There is no vanilla here, unlike the Dior Addict eau de parfum whose name it shares. What you get is an easy fresh floral, the kind you wear without thinking. Chanel's Chance Eau Fraîche comes to mind, though Dior's is more floral and less citrusy. It also fades fast.
When to wear it
An office scent for hot days, so quiet it goes unnoticed in an open-plan room. Reapply early in the afternoon.
It belongs to the Floral family. Dior Addict Eau Fraîche is one of 56 creations by Dior in our encyclopedia.
