Our take
What does Forever and Ever smell like?
Forever and Ever has a slightly muddled history. Dior dates it to 2002 and credits Jean-Pierre Béthouart. It came back in airport stores in 2006, then joined Les Créations de Monsieur Dior. Today it sits in the Dioriginals collection, restored by Francis Kurkdjian. The opening is watery and green. Freesia, water jasmine and ivy smell like a bouquet that has just been rinsed. The heart brings a soft rose and almond blossom with a light marzipan touch. Geranium adds a little bite. Nutmeg is barely there in the base. Musk and vanilla leave a trail of clean skin that stays very quiet. This is far from the opulent florals the house is known for. Next to Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet, another light Dior floral, Forever and Ever is greener and less sweet. It has aged well, though without much sparkle.
When to wear it
An office scent for spring and summer that bothers nobody. Spray generously because it sits very close to the skin.
It belongs to the Floral family. Forever and Ever is one of 56 creations by Dior in our encyclopedia.
