Our take
What does The One Desire smell like?
Dolce & Gabbana introduced The One Desire in 2013 as a more intense take on The One from 2006. The house worked with Givaudan and named no individual perfumer. The opening is fruity and clear. Mandarin, bergamot and lychee meet a fresh lily of the valley. The heart changes tone. Madonna lily and Indian tuberose take over, backed by velvety jasmine and a plum note. It is a fleshy white floral that makes no effort to hide. The base confirms the evening mood. Vanilla caramel, sandalwood and musk wrap the skin, and labdanum adds a resinous edge. The original The One played on peach and golden amber. Desire moves the center toward white flowers and gains volume. It lasts a long time, sometimes too long. It is now harder to find in stores.
When to wear it
For a winter dinner or party, among people who like tuberose. One spray on the neck, no more.
It belongs to the Floral, Oriental / Amber family. The One Desire is one of 26 creations by Dolce & Gabbana in our encyclopedia.
