Our take
What does Fuel for Life Unlimited smell like?
Diesel extended its women's Fuel for Life in 2008 with Unlimited, an eau de parfum fruitier than the original from the year before. Peach, guava, lemon and mandarin open the show. It is juicy and plainly made for summer. The surprise comes in the heart. Licorice appears and never leaves. It gives a black candy twist to a bouquet of jasmine, tuberose and lily that would be ordinary without it. The base is quiet. Sandalwood, cedar and musk make a clean finish that smells like warm skin. The licorice loosely recalls Lolita Lempicka, only much lighter and with no almond. The bottle used the line's dented flask shape in a smoky pink. It has since left the shelves and now turns up only on resale sites. Fans still hunt for it because no later flanker kept that licorice.
When to wear it
A daytime scent for warm weather, weekends or holidays. Three sprays on arms and neck and it lasts decently for a fruity.
It belongs to the Floral, Fruity family. Fuel for Life Unlimited is one of 14 creations by Diesel in our encyclopedia.
