Our take
What does Amber Oud Gold Edition smell like?
Al Haramain introduced Amber Oud Gold Edition in the late 2010s as a unisex eau de parfum. No perfumer is named. Despite the name, the official pyramid lists no oud at all. It opens with clean bergamot and green notes that smell like a freshly cut stem. Melon and pineapple follow, juicy and slightly syrupy, held together by a gourmand accord and soft amber. The base is calmer, with woody notes, vanilla and a clean musk that lingers for hours. The overall effect is fruit salad drizzled with syrup. It often comes up next to Xerjoff's Erba Pura because of its fruity, musky amber. Keep it apart from the Extreme and 999.9 Dubai Edition, which are separate flankers. Projection is big and it easily outlasts a working day.
When to wear it
Spring through autumn, for daytime or a date. One spray is often enough, since it projects hard.
It belongs to the Oriental / Amber family. Amber Oud Gold Edition is one of 1 creations by Al Haramain in our encyclopedia.
