Our take
What does Aqua Allegoria Ginger Piccante smell like?
Guerlain added Ginger Piccante to its Aqua Allegoria collection in 2019. House perfumer Delphine Jelk composed this unisex eau de toilette. Everything rides on the ginger. It opens fresh and prickly, almost fizzy, and lemon makes it sharper still. Bergamot follows close behind, and the three together read like an iced Earl Grey. The rose listed in the heart is very faint and plenty of skins won't pick it up. Pepper is more obvious and keeps the whole thing dry. Clean cedar and white musk take over at the base without adding weight. The citrus even drifts back near the end. Longevity is that of a light eau de toilette, about five hours. Compared with Bvlgari's Eau Parfumée au Thé Vert, Ginger Piccante is spicier and less green. It smells more of the kitchen than the tea room.
When to wear it
Ideal for a spring morning or a hot day at the office. You can reapply at lunch without bothering anyone since it stays close to the skin.
It belongs to the Citrus, Aromatic family. Aqua Allegoria Ginger Piccante is one of 89 creations by Guerlain in our encyclopedia.
