Our take
What does Olympéa Blossom smell like?
Paco Rabanne added Olympéa Blossom to the line in 2021, six years after the original Olympéa. The eau de parfum is pitched as a floral chypre. The opening is its best part. A slightly prickly Damask rose, lifted by pink pepper, comes in with real freshness. The heart turns fruity, with pear and blackcurrant handled like a sorbet that is juicy and a little sour. Then the line's signature shows up. Salt and vanilla bring that warm skin after a day at the beach, while patchouli and cashmere wood give a drier base than Olympéa. The result is lighter, more floral and less creamy than the original. It also loses some personality. Once the rose fades you are left with a salted vanilla base that smells a lot like the 2015 version on most skins.
When to wear it
A spring and early summer scent for daytime or dinner outdoors. Two sprays on the neck are enough.
It belongs to the Floral, Chypre family. Olympéa Blossom is one of 35 creations by Paco Rabanne in our encyclopedia.
