What does Mon Paris Intensément smell like?
Yves Saint Laurent introduced Mon Paris Intensément in early 2020, four years after Mon Paris. Olivier Cresp, Harry Fremont and Dora Baghriche reworked the formula to make it denser. The house calls it a floral woody chypre. The opening is very fruity. Black currant, raspberry and pear make a bright jam that orange and bergamot lighten. The heart stays loyal to rose. Centifolia and Bulgarian rose lead with white peony and freesia. Datura adds a narcotic touch. The base sharpens the contrast. Patchouli draws a dark thread, benzoin adds balm and cashmeran a woolly texture. White musk smooths it all out. Compared with Mon Paris, Intensément is less sugary up top and earthier at the end. It sits in the same family as La Vie est Belle, with more rose and less praline.
When to wear it
An autumn and winter evening scent, ideal for a date. Two sprays are enough since it projects strongly.
