What does Tuscan Leather smell like?
Launched in 2007 in Tom Ford’s very first Private Blend collection, Tuscan Leather became a benchmark for modern leather. The opening is striking: a dark, almost winey raspberry meets leathery saffron and aromatic thyme. The heart adds a curl of incense smoke and a discreet jasmine that softens the hardness of the leather to come. For the base is raw, animalic leather, lined with softer suede, woody notes and amber. It evokes a brand-new leather bag, a Florentine saddler’s workshop, the interior of a luxury car. This is a scent of character, extremely tenacious, clinging to fabric for hours and leaving no one indifferent.
When to wear it
For autumn and winter evenings, in very small doses. It suits lovers of powerful leathers, of any gender.
