What does Godolphin smell like?
Godolphin is named after the Godolphin Arabian, one of the foundation sires of the Thoroughbred, and fits the equestrian imagery of Parfums de Marly. Launched in 2010, it opens on fruity notes softened by coppery saffron, aromatic thyme and resinous cypress. The floral heart is a surprise: rose, powdery iris and jasmine lend hushed elegance to this masculine scent. The long, rich base pairs supple leather with amber, cedar, vetiver, musk and a discreet vanilla. It suggests waxed saddlery and a velvet jacket, with a slightly aristocratic poise.
