Our take
What does Eau Relax smell like?
Biotherm, the L'Oréal skincare brand, launched Eau Relax in 2017 as part of its scented waters range. Dominique Ropion and Fanny Bal composed it. The brand presents it as a relaxing mist that sits between fragrance and skincare. The opening is citrus: bitter orange and bergamot, plus a tea note that adds some bitterness. The heart surprises with cardamom, cool and peppery. Lily of the valley and jasmine stay light. The base is softer than the top suggests. Tonka bean and vanilla round out a clean musk, with a trace of patchouli. Clarins' Eau Dynamisante from 1987 plays in the same field of treatment scents. Eau Relax is less herbal and more vanilla driven. It belongs in the bathroom rather than on a night out. It does that job very well.
When to wear it
Spray freely after a shower or a workout during the warmer months. Longevity is low, and that is by design.
It belongs to the Citrus family. Eau Relax is one of 2 creations by Biotherm in our encyclopedia.
