What does Aqva Pour Homme smell like?
Jacques Cavallier composed Aqva Pour Homme for Bvlgari in 2005. It is not one of the ozonic marines that were everywhere at the time. The opening pairs juicy mandarin with petitgrain, which is greener and more bitter. The heart rests on two materials rarely used in men's perfumery. Santolina is a Mediterranean shrub with a dry, camphor-like smell. Posidonia is a seagrass that washes up in banks on beaches and smells of iodine and damp greenery. The base suggests a salty mineral amber over aromatic clary sage. The result recalls skin after a swim, still crusted with salt. Be aware that many retailers publish a very different note list that has nothing to do with the official one. Longevity is modest, in line with most aquatic fresheners.
