What does Aqua Allegoria Forte Rosa Rossa smell like?
Guerlain launched the first Aqua Allegoria Forte pair in 2022, two eaux de parfum denser than the line's usual eaux de toilette. Rosa Rossa Forte reworks the 2018 Rosa Rossa and goes back to Delphine Jelk. She calls it a sunset rose, and the picture fits. The opening blends juicy white peach with blackcurrant and a pink pepper that barely stings. A hint of almond softens the edges. The heart pairs Bulgarian and Damask roses. The petals feel thick and slightly candied, with no powder at all. The original version was airy and faded fast. Here benzoin, patchouli and sandalwood lay down a warm floor that keeps the flower on skin for hours. Next to Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet, another daytime rose, Rosa Rossa Forte smells fruitier and clearly warmer. It still stays far from the heavy oud roses.
When to wear it
A daytime rose for spring that also works on summer evenings. Three sprays on neck and wrists are plenty, since the benzoin carries it.
