Our take
What does Jimmy Choo Man Intense smell like?
Two years after Jimmy Choo Man, the brand released Man Intense in 2016. None of the sources we checked name a perfumer. The opening picks up the idea of the first one, juicy melon against lavender, with mandarin for brightness. The contrast works better than you'd think. In the heart black pepper and artemisia add an herbal bitterness. Geranium keeps one foot in fougère territory. The base is what earns the word intense. Tonka and amber lay down a warm sweetness. Patchouli and davana oil, which smells fruity and almost boozy, add some depth. Compared with Jimmy Choo Man, Man Intense is darker and sweeter in the drydown. It still sits firmly among mass-market men's scents and takes few risks. The target shifts a little too, toward evenings rather than the office.
When to wear it
An evening scent for autumn and winter, for nights out or dates. Two sprays on the neck are enough.
It belongs to the Fougère, Aromatic family. Jimmy Choo Man Intense is one of 7 creations by Jimmy Choo in our encyclopedia.
