Our take
What does L'Eau Bleue smell like?
Miu Miu launched L’Eau Bleue in early 2017, starting as a Harrods exclusive on 1 February. Daniela Andrier, who composed the original Miu Miu in 2015, revisits her first idea of a modern lily of the valley paired with akigalawood. This time everything is wetter. The lily of the valley comes with a dew accord that makes it smell like a damp petal. Honeysuckle follows with a honeyed edge, joined by a light wild rose. At the base, akigalawood (a patchouli derivative that smells of dry wood and pepper) keeps a faint earthiness while clean musk softens the whole. Next to Diorissimo, the classic lily of the valley, L’Eau Bleue is much brighter and far less green. The bottle repeats the house’s blue in clear glass with a pale yellow cap.
When to wear it
A spring freshener made for daytime and the office. It fades fairly fast, so keep the 30 ml bottle in your bag.
It belongs to the Floral family. L'Eau Bleue is one of 1 creations by Miu Miu in our encyclopedia.
