What does Moncler pour Homme smell like?
Moncler stepped into perfume in 2021, working with Interparfums on a his and hers pair. Antoine Maisondieu and Christophe Raynaud composed the men's version. The flat flask bottle wears a shell with silver ridges, a nod to the quilting of the brand's puffer jackets. The 150 ml size even hides a customisable LED screen. Inside, the brief is a high altitude forest. The opening pairs a green accord called Alpine Green with clary sage. It smells herbal and slightly camphor-like. The heart brings cypress and cedar. Some noses pick up pine while others mostly get dry wood. The base rests on vetiver and a Mountain Woods accord made of amber, cedar and sandalwood. Compared with Acqua di Giò Essenza, it is more resinous and far less marine. The bottle gimmick gets the attention, yet the perfume stands on its own.
When to wear it
Ideal for a mountain weekend or a cold day in town. Two sprays on a scarf keep it going for hours.
