What does Halfeti smell like?
Launched in 2015 in Penhaligon's Trade Routes collection, Halfeti takes its name from a Turkish town famous for its black rose, a flower with deep purple petals. The scent is built on controlled abundance. The bright, spiced opening combines grapefruit, bergamot, saffron, cardamom and cypress. The heart brings in a dark, velvety rose sharpened with nutmeg and jasmine, giving a sense of depth and nightfall. The base of oud, cedar, leather, sandalwood, tonka and vanilla adds a woody, leathery, faintly smoky warmth that never turns brutal. It is a rich, refined oriental that marries English elegance with the imagery of Eastern markets.
When to wear it
Autumn and winter evenings; it appeals to lovers of dark roses, spice and leathery woods of any gender.
