What does Blenheim Bouquet smell like?
Composed in 1902 by Walter Penhaligon for the Duke of Marlborough, whose seat is Blenheim Palace, Blenheim Bouquet is one of the historic scents of British perfumery. Its structure is strikingly simple, and that is its strength. Lemon, lime and lavender open with a brisk, aromatic freshness. Pine dominates the heart, resinous, dry and slightly camphorous, like a conifer forest after rain. Pepper and musk bring a discreet, spicy warmth to the base, with a feeling of clean skin.
