What does A*Men smell like?
Launched in 1996, A*Men carried the gourmand audacity of Angel into men’s perfumery and stands as a true pioneer. Jacques Huclier opens with cool, almost medicinal lavender and mint, sharpened by bergamot. The heart quickly turns: roasted coffee, caramel and honey form a dark, sticky accord that suggests a coffee roastery more than a sweet shop. The base is ruled by an earthy, nearly tar-like patchouli that stretches into vanilla and tonka bean. That clash between aromatic freshness and black gourmand richness is what makes it unique. Sillage is huge, longevity endless, and the signature unmistakable.
When to wear it
For cold evenings, one or two sprays at most; it wins over anyone who loves big, idiosyncratic scents.
