Our take
What does Mon Paris Parfum Floral smell like?
In 2019 Yves Saint Laurent spun Mon Paris, launched three years earlier, into a more floral version. The bottle keeps its shape and its pussy-bow detail. The perfumers were not named. The opening is fruity and tart. Bergamot, crisp pear, raspberry and peach jostle for space. It is lighter than the strawberry of the original. The heart rests on datura, the line's narcotic white flower. Sambac jasmine and orange blossom make it sunnier. Magnolia and peony lighten it further. The base keeps the chypre frame of Mon Paris, with patchouli softened by white musk and cashmere wood. The result is more floral than sweet. Its peony brings Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet to mind, though the base here has far more presence. Anyone who found Mon Paris too jammy should try this one.
When to wear it
A spring fruity floral, perfect for lunch out or a long walk. Three sprays are enough, as the patchouli resurfaces late in the day.
It belongs to the Floral, Fruity family. Mon Paris Parfum Floral is one of 35 creations by Yves Saint Laurent in our encyclopedia.
