Our take
What does Boss Femme smell like?
Annick Ménardo and Harry Frémont composed Boss Femme in 2006, although some retailers wrongly date it to 2000. The opening is green and fruity. Freesia brings a peppery freshness, mandarin a sweet zest and blackcurrant a slightly sharp tang. Lily takes charge in the heart with its creamy, faintly spicy note. Jasmine and a Bulgarian rose keep it company without pushing forward. The base is more interesting than it first seems. Velvety apricot meets herbal lemongrass, which reads as fresh fruit rather than jam. Musk and amber then lay down a soft finish. The whole thing stays bright and well-mannered. It feels like a typical 2000s office scent, neither too prim nor especially memorable. Its current availability is unclear.
When to wear it
Spring and summer, daytime or office. Three or four sprays, since it does not last long.
It belongs to the Floral, Fruity family. Boss Femme is one of 40 creations by Hugo Boss in our encyclopedia.
