Our take
What does Marry Me! smell like?
Lanvin launched Marry Me in August 2010, with Antoine Maisondieu as the perfumer. The name points straight at bridal territory, and the house pitched it as a moment of intense happiness. It opens on bitter orange and very ripe peach. Freesia adds a clear, slightly peppery lift. Jasmine and magnolia settle in the heart alongside a gentle rose with no sharp edges. This is fruity floral in the late 2000s mould, sweet but never sticky. The drydown slides into cedar, amber and musk. That base is where it earns its staying power, leaving a clean and faintly woody skin scent that stays close. Compared with Miss Dior Chérie, another fruity floral from the same years, Marry Me feels rounder and less tart. It aims for softness rather than drama. Fans of gentle florals will find it easy company. Everyone else may call it predictable.
When to wear it
A daytime floral for spring or an outdoor wedding. Two sprays on the neck and wrists are plenty.
It belongs to the Floral, Fruity family. Marry Me! is one of 14 creations by Lanvin in our encyclopedia.
