Our take
What does Amor Amor Mon Parfum du Soir smell like?
In 2015 Cacharel created a night-time version of Amor Amor, its 2003 bestseller. Dominique Ropion composed this eau de parfum, still housed in the red pomegranate-shaped bottle. The opening stays loyal to the original with tangy, fizzy blackcurrant, mandarin and bergamot. The heart is where it changes. Blackberry takes up huge space, juicy and slightly jammy, while rose and freesia hang back. The base is openly gourmand. Icing sugar and vanilla blanket the skin, and patchouli adds just enough earth to keep it from smelling like candy. It turns powdery over time, and several beauty bloggers found it more wintry than the original. The 2003 Amor Amor is fresher and sharper. Mon Parfum du Soir smells more like red berry jam. Fans of La Vie est Belle will like it, others less so.
When to wear it
Bring it out on autumn and winter evenings for dinner or a night out. Two sprays are enough because the sugar spreads fast.
It belongs to the Floral, Fruity family. Amor Amor Mon Parfum du Soir is one of 14 creations by Cacharel in our encyclopedia.
