Our take
What does Oh Ma Biche smell like?
Lolita Lempicka launched Oh Ma Biche in 2019, with a doe drawn on a clear glass bottle. Maïa Lernout composed this eau de parfum, which goes against everything the house is known for. There is no licorice and no vanilla. The opening is bright and prickly. Grapefruit and mandarin get a lift from timut pepper, which itself smells of grapefruit peel. Peach then arrives with a pink champagne accord, like a bellini served a little too cold. This stage is the best part, juicy yet dry. The base comes down to a clean white musk that stays fairly flat. That is where the perfume loses some depth. The original 1997 Lolita Lempicka is all licorice and vanilla. Oh Ma Biche turns its back on that and aims at a younger crowd. Long-time fans may be disappointed.
When to wear it
A daytime scent for spring and summer, on a terrace or at the weekend. Three sprays on skin and one in the hair help it last.
It belongs to the Citrus family. Oh Ma Biche is one of 5 creations by Lolita Lempicka in our encyclopedia.
