Our take
What does Chloé Fleur de Parfum smell like?
Chloé Fleur de Parfum arrived in 2016 as a variation on the 2008 Chloé eau de parfum. Michel Almairac and Mylène Alran of Robertet composed it. The idea was simple: keep the house rose and make it more see-through. Verbena leads the opening. Its lemony, herbal edge is backed by bergamot and a slightly bitter grapefruit. Rose sits at the centre of the heart. Cherry blossom gives it an airy spring feel, while black currant and peach add fruit without much sugar. The base is rice powder, white musk and a light cedar. Nothing feels heavy. Compared with the original Chloé and its powdery peony rose, Fleur de Parfum is greener and brighter. It reads like the same girl in a linen shirt instead of a silk blouse. It also fades sooner, so this is a scent you reapply rather than forget about.
