What does Oajan smell like?
Oajan, launched by Parfums de Marly in 2013, is a generous spicy oriental. From the first spray, cinnamon and honey form a cosy, gingerbread-like accord, nuanced by osmanthus’s apricot and leathery facets. The heart sinks into resins: vanillic benzoin, ambery labdanum and slightly salty ambergris lend depth to the sweetness. Vanilla, tonka bean, musk and patchouli in the base draw out that golden softness for hours. It recalls year-end festivities, hot drinks and snug interiors, with a dense yet smooth texture. The honey never turns sharp or animalic; instead it glows like warm syrup, and the resins keep it from becoming merely dessert.
