What does Habdan smell like?
Released in 2013, Habdan is one of the Parfums de Marly scents that looks East, toward resinous materials. The opening is warm from the start: leathery saffron and dry incense create an atmosphere of temple smoke and scorched wood. The heart springs a surprise with apple, fruity and slightly tart, which lightens the resins, while woody notes and rose add a softer roundness. The base is dense: balsamic myrrh, sugary caramel and diffusive ambergris form a rich oriental vanilla, both gourmand and mystical. It sways between the sacred and the sweet, with a resinous texture that clings to skin and fabric for a long time.
When to wear it
For winter evenings and special occasions, in measured doses. It suits lovers of resinous orientals and softened incense.
