Our take
What does So Repetto smell like?
Repetto released So' Repetto in 2020 as a limited edition, part of the dance-inspired scents that sit alongside the ballet shoe brand. The perfumer isn't named. The formula is minimal and that works in its favour. Pink pepper opens with a light sparkle rather than heat. Iris quickly takes centre stage. Here it's soft and slightly sweet, far from the earthy root kind. It brings to mind face powder in a dancers' changing room. The cashmere wood base adds plush, musky warmth that sits close to the body. The amber floral label comes mostly from that base. Compared with Prada's Infusion d'Iris, another easy iris, So' Repetto is rounder and less soapy. Several retailers now list it as end of line. Lovers of quiet iris should give it a try while it's still around.
When to wear it
A daytime scent for the office or school, best sprayed generously on clothes. It stays close to the skin.
It belongs to the Floral, Oriental / Amber family. So Repetto is one of 5 creations by Repetto in our encyclopedia.
