What does Girl smell like?
Rochas introduced Girl in early 2021 with Anne Flipo as the perfumer. The brand highlights a vegan formula with 90 percent ingredients of natural origin and a bottle made with 40 percent recycled glass. It opens on a bright neroli. Pink pepper gives it a small prick and blackcurrant bud adds a green and faintly sulphurous note. The heart revolves around orange blossom, backed by jasmine and a creamier orchid. Sunny, but never heavy, and the orange blossom stays fresh rather than honeyed. The base stays light as well. Cedar and sandalwood lay down blond woods, and vanilla rounds things off without too much sugar. Compared with Eau de Rochas, the house's historic citrus, Girl is more floral and softer. It is also less lively. It is clearly aimed at a young audience and hits that target cleanly.
When to wear it
A daytime eau de toilette for spring and summer that fits the office well. Spray generously, five times if needed, since it stays quiet.
