Our take
What does Brit Rhythm for Her smell like?
Burberry launched Brit Rhythm for Her in 2014, a few months after the men's version. Nathalie Gracia-Cetto and Antoine Maisondieu co-authored this eau de toilette. Despite the name, it has almost nothing in common with the original Burberry Brit. The opening puts a soft English lavender up front, without the camphor of the men's aisle. Pink pepper and neroli make it fizz. In the heart, iris and orange blossom set a powdery tone. Blackberry leaf adds a green touch. A Givaudan molecule called Petalia suggests peony. The base combines vetiver, musks and pale woods. It brings Cartier's Baiser Volé to mind for its powdery softness, although this one runs warmer. It is pleasant and well made. What it lacks is a bit of nerve. More lavender or more orange blossom would have made it memorable.
When to wear it
An office scent that bothers nobody, best in spring and autumn. Two or three sprays on a cotton sweater.
It belongs to the Floral, Woody, Musky family. Brit Rhythm for Her is one of 20 creations by Burberry in our encyclopedia.
