Valentino added Yellow Dream to the Born in Roma line in 2021. Julie Massé and Violaine Collas of Mane composed this eau de toilette for summer. The bottle keeps the house studs, this time in bright yellow. The opening is openly fruity. Italian mandarin and a pineapple accord give it a beach-cocktail feel. Ginger then arrives with a gingerbread accord and a blend of soft spices. That is the most original part. The base rounds out on vanilla absolute and clean cedar. Born in Roma Uomo from 2019 relied on sage and vetiver with a mineral edge. Yellow Dream is much sweeter and sunnier. Some will find it too soft, and longevity is average. It works as a holiday scent rather than a pillar of the collection. Think of it as a summer cocktail in a bottle.
