Our take
What does Flowerbomb Dew smell like?
Fifteen years after the original Flowerbomb, Viktor & Rolf released a paler version in 2020 and called it Dew. The grenade bottle stays. The direction changes. Instead of sugary patchouli and a cloud of pink flowers, it opens on juicy pear with a streak of bergamot. Ambrette arrives quickly with a musky, slightly vegetal note that smells like clean skin. The brand talks about a dew drop accord and the idea makes sense within minutes. Iris carries the heart. It is powdery and close to makeup, warmed by a quiet rose that never takes over. The base then tightens around white musk. Cashmeran gives it the feel of a soft sweater while heliotrope adds a hint of almond. Next to the 2005 Flowerbomb, Dew is far less gourmand and much more intimate. It behaves like a skin scent rather than the loud floral that made the house famous.
When to wear it
A daytime spring scent that sits quietly at the office or on weekends. Use three sprays on wrists and neck because the musks stay close to the skin.
It belongs to the Floral, Musky family. Flowerbomb Dew is one of 12 creations by Viktor & Rolf in our encyclopedia.
