What does Modern Princess Eau Sensuelle smell like?
Lanvin extended Modern Princess in 2018 with this Eau Sensuelle, two years after the original. The name promises warmth but the opening is very fresh. Pink grapefruit, lemon and tangerine are tart, softened by juicy peach. Peony and jasmine meet crisp pear in the heart, and orange blossom adds some roundness. It is a textbook fruity floral and very easy to read. The promised sensuality shows up in the base. Sandalwood, musk and vanilla create a warm, soft skin effect that wraps more than the greener 2016 Modern Princess. The perfume lacks texture and smells like many fruity florals of that period. Its strengths are ease of wear and a price that is often low. Peach is the nicest note in the opening. The pear in the heart adds a crunch that keeps things from getting too creamy.
When to wear it
A daytime spring scent for the office or the weekend. Three sprays, as longevity is only average.
