Our take
What does Dolce Garden smell like?
Dolce & Gabbana released Dolce Garden in early 2018 as an offshoot of Dolce, launched in 2014. Violaine Collas of Mane composed this fruity floral gourmand inspired by Sicilian gardens. The coral pink bottle wears a sculpted flower on its cap. The opening pairs mandarin with neroli and magnolia. It is sunny and soft, with no sharpness. The heart takes a tropical turn. Creamy coconut is wrapped in frangipani and ylang-ylang, which smells of sun warmed flowers and tanning oil. The base stays gourmand with vanilla absolute, almond milk and milky sandalwood. The original Dolce played on neroli and narcissus in a white, powdery style. Dolce Garden is sweeter and much warmer. On skin the coconut lasts the longest and the citrus is gone within minutes. Monoi lovers will enjoy it. Everyone else may find it cloying in real heat.
When to wear it
A holiday and summer weekend scent. Two sprays are enough because the vanilla base grows fast.
It belongs to the Floral, Gourmand, Fruity family. Dolce Garden is one of 26 creations by Dolce & Gabbana in our encyclopedia.
