What does The Only One 2 smell like?
Dolce & Gabbana introduced The Only One 2 in January 2019, a year after The Only One, which itself extended the line started by The One in 2006. The perfumer was not disclosed. The opening is fruity and fairly sweet. Pear and freesia lead, followed by red berries and blackberry that darken the colour. The heart picks up the line's signature pairing of coffee and violet. This time a powdery red rose slips in between them. It softens the coffee's bitterness and makes the whole thing more floral. Tonka bean and patchouli form the base with amber woods, leaving a warm and slightly gourmand trail. Compared with The Only One, this second chapter is fruitier and less sharp, and the coffee is harder to pick out. If you found the original too gourmand, this flowerier take might suit you better.
When to wear it
A dinner or date scent for autumn. Two sprays on the wrists and neck will do.
