What does Sì Passione Éclat smell like?
Giorgio Armani launched Sì Passione Éclat in January 2022. It spins off Sì Passione from 2017, which itself grew out of 2013's Sì. The bottle keeps the ruby red of the Passione line. This eau de parfum opens on a bright blackcurrant accord and Calabrian bergamot. So the cassis that defined Sì is back. Two roses share the heart. Centifolia, hand picked in France, brings a powdery side. Damask rose adds body and a little fruit. The base stays light. White musks and a Madagascar vanilla infusion leave an impression of clean skin. Compared with the original Sì, which is mossier and closer to a chypre, Éclat feels brighter and simpler. It is a daytime rose, well made but without mystery. Armani has since dropped it from its US catalogue.
When to wear it
A spring floral that works easily at the office. Two sprays on the nape, and the rose holds up reasonably well.
