What does Alien Man Fusion smell like?
Mugler released Alien Man Fusion as a limited edition in early 2019, a year after Alien Man. It launched alongside Alien Fusion for women and was billed as a woody, leathery, spicy eau de toilette. The bottle keeps the Alien talisman in blue-tinted glass. Ginger opens with a cool bite and cinnamon follows, warmer and slightly sweet. Osmanthus then brings its dried apricot scent. That flower has a natural leathery side, and the formula backs it with a supple leather accord. The base is the most unusual part. Green coffee, less roasted than the usual coffee note, mixes with smoked beech wood. The result is a toasted bitterness that steers clear of dessert territory. Against Alien Man, which is smoother and more ambery, Fusion feels drier and spicier. It is also lighter, as the brand promised.
