What does Layton Exclusif smell like?
Layton Exclusif, from 2017, extends the Layton universe by making it darker and woodier. Apple and lavender are still there, but the scent slides quickly into oriental depth. The opening pairs almond, mandarin, bergamot and apple, fruity and lightly sweet. Geranium, rose, lavender and cinnamon form a warm, aromatic heart. The base makes the difference: oud, smoky guaiac wood, vanilla, roasted coffee and sandalwood create a dense, woody, gourmand texture that is almost leathery. It keeps a reassuring legibility while showing far more richness and power than its predecessor. This is an evening scent built to announce itself.
When to wear it
For autumn and winter evenings, dates and special occasions. It suits fans of powerful, gourmand spicy woods.
