Our take
What does Hawas for Him smell like?
Rasasi, a Dubai-based house, released Hawas for Him in the mid-2010s. The perfumer is not credited. Technically it is an aromatic aquatic, yet it has little in common with the austere marine scents of the 1990s. The opening is sweet and cool at once: apple, lemon and bergamot, with cinnamon adding warmth. In the heart, orange blossom and cardamom meet a juicy plum that softens the edges. The house also mentions watery accents and a hint of melon. The base rests on ambergris, salty driftwood, musk and a quiet patchouli. On skin it reads as sweet freshness, closer to stepping out of the shower than standing on a cliff. Performance is well above what you would expect from an aquatic.
When to wear it
