Our take
What does Rem Coco smell like?
Reminiscence added Rem Coco to its Rem line in 2020. The first Rem dates from 1996 and is still one of the house’s best-known marine scents. No perfumer is named. The idea is simple: take the Rem sea accord and pour coconut into it. The opening smells of salt water and coconut nectar, a fresher pairing than you might think. In the heart the coconut milk thickens and solar notes come through, with a discreet floral touch that hints at monoi. The base stays light, just musk and vanilla. Picture a beach towel that still smells of sunscreen. Compared with Estée Lauder’s Bronze Goddess, another beach scent, Rem Coco is saltier and less creamy. It is very linear though, and it fades fast.
When to wear it
For holidays and summer weekends, sprayed after a shower or a day at the beach. Expect to reapply several times a day.
It belongs to the Floral, Aquatic family. Rem Coco is one of 20 creations by Reminiscence in our encyclopedia.
