Our take
What does Eau Sensuelle smell like?
In spring 2009, Rochas asked Jean-Michel Duriez for a variation on Eau de Rochas. He had just arrived from Patou, and this was his first creation for the house. Where the 1970 original relies on citrus and green freshness, Eau Sensuelle heads into the sun. Blood orange, bergamot and mango make for a juicy, slightly exotic opening. The heart adds orange blossom and sambac jasmine. A light pink pepper keeps the whole thing from turning into a sweet cocktail. The base is the most original part. Dried fruit brings a warm, gourmand note that iris and white musks turn powdery. On skin it stays discreet and more charming than sensual, whatever the name says. Compared with Eau de Rochas, which is greener and sharper, Eau Sensuelle is creamier and fruitier. Wear it like a summer splash, with generous sprays.
When to wear it
A summer scent for the beach, holidays or hot days. Spray freely on skin and clothes since it takes it well.
It belongs to the Floral, Fruity family. Eau Sensuelle is one of 21 creations by Rochas in our encyclopedia.
